Sweat

Today is a very, very lazy day. I'm supposed to be doing homework right now, but after finishing half of three assignments and getting increasingly frustrated with the fact I either can't complete them, due to the stupidity of the system or lack of all around knowledge, I'm taking a break. I've got a nasty kink in my neck from sleeping funny and my body's sore, but I don't really mind today. I'm wearing my Victoria's Secret sweats and one of my favourite tank tops (that gray one with the lace-patterned back that shows way too much cleavage) and I'm listening to John Legend at the kitchen table. I love the way the sun hits the trees outside. I've kinda taken to sitting here, since the TV's way too loud for me to tolerate sitting in the living room or the library. Also, my love seat has become occupied seemingly permanently by dad's many accounting books and such. Kind of annoying, but I've made do.

Back to the bright side... Mmm, Alexander Rybak. I haven't listening to him in a while. I love the song "Roll With the Wind" and it's playing now. He's a master with the violin. Fiddle... Whatever. "There's a hole in my heart and a picture in a frame driving me insane." Love that lyric.

I don't really know what I'm writing about. Mostly I'm just avoiding going back to doing my homework. Sophie's coming over tonight and I'm listening to Rain tell me how gross this spider-encrusted book he found was. He's apologizing 'cause I'm all freaked out about it, but he really doesn't need to. I'm a big baby. I really need to get over my fear of spiders. I didn't use to be afraid of them. Well... I was when I was little. Then the fear went away for a long time. Came back last summer, though. All girls seem to be scared of spiders to some degree. I always find it odd when a girl is able to just scoop up a spider and deal with it.

More John Legend... "You proved me fantasy that love could truly be." Mm, such cute lyrics. This song's called "So High" and I really loved it at the Sade concert. He opened for her. Two of my favourite singers in one... It was probably the best concert I've ever been to. I'd love to see just John Legend, though, in a quieter venue. He's not much of one for stadiums, though I think he made it work.

I need to complete DragonAge Origins, so that I can give it back to Rain and he can play it. I feel bad taking my time with it... It is his, after all, and he's entitled to it. But I also have homework to do and a life to attempt to live... I've never really realized how busy I was when I was in such a calm mood as I am now. But I am really busy. Wether or not what I'm busy with is superficial is entirely up for debate, but I'd like to think there's some degree of importance in the things I do.

Well, enough ranting from me.

'Till next time.
